Holy cow it’s cold outside! Well, in New York City anyway. When I woke up this morning it was 11°F. Despite what you may think about fashion, this New Yorker is going to be wearing long-johns under his slacks. 11°F temperatures require many layers of clothing. It all reminded me of the old Scandinavian saying “there is no bad weather, only bad clothing.” That saying kept running through my head as wrapped myself in layer after layer. The sheer volume of clothing that was required on such a cold day gave me quite a bit of time to think about it too.
“There is no bad weather, only bad clothing.” This is not as statement about bad fortune or circumstances outside of one’s control; this is a saying about preparedness. If you think about it, those Scandinavians were invoking the same tough survivor attitude that had served them well over the millennia. Yes, bad things happen, but if you are prepared, you can do more than just survive. You can thrive! I suppose that is why this expression has lasted so long. Neither this saying, nor this blog really have anything to do with weather at all.
It may only take one blast of winter wind to blow your paper package log away, never to be seen again. Having a good package tracking system in place can keep this problem from becoming a disaster. How many layers of protection do you have for your inbound packages? There are hundreds of different ways items can get lost, damaged, stolen or goodness knows what. If you have taken the time to prepare for these issues by implementing a solid package logging software solution, then you don’t have to worry so much.
Unexpected and bad things will happen: you can’t stop them. But by taking a little bit of time to plan ahead and add a few extra “layers of protection” for your inbound packages with a complete package tracking system, you will greatly benefit from your foresight. What’s more, package logging softwarelike EZTrackIt easily pays for itself in its first month of use. This means that there is really no cost involved in protecting your most valuable assets. Let EZTrackIt show you how to “be prepared” for all of life’s unexpected surprises.
