I was looking at my credit card statement yesterday. I saw that strange little view in time that it offers; February 7th first swim lesson for my daughter, February 24th, out to lunch with her Grandparents, March 4th Costco stock up on non-perishable foods for a pandemic.  A week after that we were sheltering in place.  Looking at the statement it almost gave me whiplash.  With that, the world changed.

I have seen rapid changes before. I was in NYC during 9/11 and have several friends who were in those towers. Miraculously, they all made it out, though just barely.  This feels very different though.  Then it was about all of us surviving a terrible instant in time and working together to fight our way back to something close to what was before.  Now though, it feels like we are all waiting alone or in small groups for something outside of our control to make things “safe” again in 12-18 months.   Last week when I walked down the street in my mask I saw people who seemed to be afraid to make eye contact.  This made me feel all the more isolated.

Today though things seem like they are beginning to change.  Some states are starting to open up again albeit slowly and with a lot of restrictions.  What will this new normal look like?  I don’t know about all of society but I can tell you what is happening for our clients who receive packages.  The package volume is going up.  WAY UP.  As long as in-person shopping stays unnerving for people, they are going to choose online shopping over and over again.

EZTrackIt was designed to record incoming packages and help organize the chaos of multiple carrier deliveries, inventory, and contactless recipient notification.  We can’t change the world we live in right now, but we can make your life a little easier when it comes to inbound packages.
