At EZTrackIt, we strive to adapt to our clients’ needs as well as the needs of their package recipients. As a result, we’ve made some additions to our package tracking software in terms of the way package notifications are sent. For instance, package recipients can now receive notifications about their packages via email, text message, and even Facebook! While these methods have allowed us to reach more package recipients faster, it has meant that EZTrackIt has not been the perfect fit for certain organizations, until now!
Initially, it simply didn’t make sense for our package logging software to be used in organizations such as nursing homes and assisted living facilities. Even though our package tracking software would help the staff log packages 4-10 times faster than by hand, they would likely still have to call or otherwise notify each package recipient personally. Their residents are not as likely as others to use text messaging, email and Facebook. However, we’ve introduced a new tool that will allow these communities to take advantage of the speed of our package logging software without alienating their residents.
Our new package monitor will allow these organizations and residential buildings to display a simplified digital package log in their lobbies. Thus, residents must simply glance at the monitor on their way in to see if they have a package waiting for them. Gone are the days of personally calling each resident when his or her package has arrived or slipping a notice under each door. Should residents call the front desk to ask about their packages, your staff must simply look up at the package monitor. Overall, this new feature makes our package tracking software easier for your staff to use and more conducive to you residents.
This tool is a selling point even in general residential condo and apartment complexes. Even when residents have adopted technology, the package monitor is a valuable asset. It serves as a simple reminder when residents walk through the door to pick up their packages before retreating to their residences. It can also help to reach residents who use text messaging and email but would prefer not to give out their personal information for package notifications. We’ve learned through years of improving our package logging system that when it comes to package notification, the more methods available, the better.
